Absent Friends

Painted when I was a student. The main inspiration was the chair in my room. Made of a deliciously tacky vinyl. The figure has been stood up so it drinks a toast (ketchup not wine) with the empty chair. Perhaps the other party was fed up of getting Not the Comfy Chair. About an old relationship or something...
