Tessellations

This site was developed through a partnership between the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and Shrewsbury Museums Service, and supported by the resource / DCMS (Designation Challenge Fund).

It was the first stage in, what was hoped, would become a National Database of historic tile designs. Initially the web site concentrated on providing information about known decorative wall and floor tile manufacturers and designers, together with images and information about nineteenth and twentieth century tile designs from the United Kingdom.
